Ingredients:
1 x bag sprouts
1 x clove garlic
1 x 100g bag walnut halves (crush lightly)
1 x tablespoon olive oil
Method:
Wash and peel sprouts
Then shred finely (a multi-chef is ideal for this although you can do this by hand!)
Crush the clove of garlic
Add the oil to a large frying pan or a wok and heat
Just before the oil reaches smoking point add the garlic and then the shredded sprouts
Stir fry for about 2-3 mins
Add the walnuts and stir fry for another 30 seconds to a minute
Remove from the wok and place in a warmed serving dish
You can then keep warm until ready to serve with your Christmas Dinner
This is a great recipe. The sprouts lose their bitter taste and take on a 'stuffing like' texture and a wonderfully nutty taste. Add a knob of butter just before serving.
